Aspiring Communities Condemns Barbaric Attacks In Paris

As many of us awoke this morning, we were all shocked by the totally barbaric and savage attacks that took place in Paris overnight.  No words can express the utter disgust and twisted actions of those terrorists who have carried out the brutal attacks in such a cold-blooded manner.

Aspiring Communities Board and its members heartfelt sympathies, prayers and thoughts are with the victims, their friends and family and everyone affected by the terrible events in Paris.  There is no justification for these brutal attacks and we condemn these fanatics, their tactics and extremist ideology outright.

As more information is becoming available, it is clear these fanatics deliberately targeted people in busy places to afflict the most damage they could. We need to remain vigilant and look out for each other and ensure no hatred creeps in that divides our diverse communities across the UK.  By standing together we will demonstrate to these extremists that they will not succeed in dividing us.

The Muslim communities must continue to support and work with the government in order to disrupt and target these terrorists and their backers to ensure these criminals are dealt with in the strongest possible way, where ever they may be.

We pray to the creator that he showers his infinite mercy upon us all and to protect us all, Ameen

AC Condemns Killings In Tunisia And Kuwait By Daesh

The board of Aspiring Communities and its members strongly condemn the killing of innocent people in Tunisia and Kuwait.

The extremist ideology of Daesh is spreading hatred and divisions that must be  stopped.

The actions of the hotels’ Muslim staff in Tunisia demonstrated the true spirit of Islam.

As we approach the 10th anniversary of the London bombings and the recent tragedies are a powerful reminder of the need to work together across sectors of communities, religious and social  backgrounds to defeat evil ideology where ever it may arise.

AC will continue to tackle such evil ideology and looks forward to working with all partners and individuals to showcase the true spirit and message of Islam.

FROM: Zeb Ahmed, (Director of Aspiring Communities)

Chairman of Aspiring Communities, has  condemned the “brutal and cold-blooded” attack on Drummer Lee Rigby outside Woolwich barracks in London.

He said “on behalf of the Trustees and volunteer members of Aspiring Communities I would first and foremost like to send our thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Drummer Lee Rigby.  This was a truly barbaric act that has no basis in Islam and we condemn it utterly and unreservedly.”

“We are totally horrified by the events that took place in Woolwich and as the Prime Minister rightly concluded, this is a betrayal of Islam.”

“Words can not begin to describe the horrendous actions of the two suspect whose behavior flies in the face of the peace and love that Islam teaches.  These brainwashed individuals have no understanding of the religion and are only focused on terrorism.  I hope the police will also pursue those who supported and brainwashed the two suspects and bring them to justice as well.”

The aims and objectives of Aspiring Communities are to inspire, integrate and harmonise wider society, by operating on three pivotal platforms of advancing communities, health and religion, in addition to fostering an understanding and tolerance of differing faiths, cultures and values.  Zeb emphasised that “Aspiring Communities will continue with its work of engaging with young people to ensure they do not fall into the hands of extremists and have an understanding of the real message of Islam.”

“This crime has heightened tensions throughout the country and I call upon all parts of the community irrespective of faith, culture and background to come together in solidarity to ensure that the forces of hatred do not prevail.”

AC Condemns Terrorist Attacks In Belgium

Aspiring Communities Board and its members are saddened and shocked by the terrorist’s attacks in Belgium on 22 March 2016.  We would like to express our deepest sympathies and condolences to the families and friends of all those who were killed and many who were injured in the violent, brutal and calculated attacks that took place. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who are affected by this tragedy.

Aspiring Communities would echo the comments of our world leaders that we should remain calm, alert and show solidarity so that these terrorists who have no faith, religion or humanity, are not allowed to win and undermine the cohesion that exists within our society.

We hope the suspects who are still at large are captured quickly and that our security services are able to thwart any further attacks whether at home or abroad.
